STRICKERS
Paul hand turns strikers out of several different kinds of wood, shown are - left to right - paduk, canarywood, brown maple laminate, purpleheart, colored maple laminate, walnut, and hard maple. All my strikers are one piece, turned from a solid piece of wood stock. The striker end turned to about .300 of an inch and the top to about .750. They are approximately eight inches long. These dimensions may vary some depending on the wood. I have learned over the years that some things just work better on some types of woods.
